We are establishing a high-performing engineering team to support in the development and integration of next-generation Naval Command & Control (C2) systems for Navy vessels.

The Team Lead will be key participant in building and leading a multidisciplinary systems engineering and software integration team, delivering system development, integration and verification activities in close cooperation with the customers’ sensor and platform experts.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Delivery

• Build and lead a team of architects, system engineers and software engineers

• Ensure high technical quality and on-time delivery

• Act as primary technical interface toward the customer

• Drive planning, backlog prioritization and agile execution

• Ensure documentation, traceability and configuration control

Systems Engineering & Integration

• Lead system design and integration of:

• Combat Management Systems (CMS)

• Sensor integration (radar, EO/IR, tracking systems)

• Communications systems

• External tactical data links (e.g. Link-16 or equivalent)

• Manage requirements decomposition from system to subsystem level

• Support integration testing onboard naval platforms

• Ensure compliance with military and naval standards

Technical Governance

• Establish engineering processes aligned with:

• ISO 15288/INCOSE systems engineering principles

• Configuration management best practices

• Secure software development lifecycle

• Drive technical risk management

• Ensure cybersecurity and information assurance awareness

Education and experience:

You have a relevant MSc or BSc related to Systems Engineering, Software, Electrical Engineering, Naval Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 8 years of experience in defense systems engineering and integration is mandatory. More so:

• Proven experience leading engineering teams

• Experience with:

  • Command & Control systems

  • System-of-systems integration

  • Requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS or equivalent)

  • Java based software systems

  • Modular architecture

  • Simulation environments for testing

• We prioritise experience with:

  • Naval combat systems and sensor fusion systems

  • NATO interoperability standards

  • Cyber security in defense systems

Most likely, you have a Danish NATO HEM Security Clearance today or you are eligible to obtain one asap.

This position is a team leadership role, and it is a strategic enabler. The team will become a long-term integration partner within the customers naval programs, supporting Defence vessels with scalable, secure and future-proof C2 capabilities.
